Basics:This level 1 class
begins to develop the
practice of linking movement of the body with the
flow of the breath, while working on the correct
alignment of fundamental postures. Geared
toward beginners with some experience.
Mixed Level: This level 1-2 class builds on the
basics of yoga. Teachers will give modifications for different levels; however not recommended for very beginners.
Vinyasa: Linking movement with breath, this
level 2-3 class challenges by offering a rigorous
pace and more advanced postures; experience
recommended.
Svaroopa®:
Uses deep relaxation and supported
postures to release core tensions in the spine: for
people of all ages and body types, excellent for
recovery from injury or illness.
Gentle: A
very gentle Hatha yoga class suitable for all ages and
abilities. Excellent for pre-natal, post-natal, injury
recovery and limited mobility.
Community: Building our community, offering
class at the reduced rate of $7; everyone welcome!
Yoga Sutra Study: Join us as we illuminate and deepen our yoga practice with the slow study of Patanjali's Yoga Sutra. We will practice the Sanskrit and discuss some of the different translations. We will have copies to use, or bring your own.
Yoga for Wellness: A unique class exploring the integration of the wisdom of yoga with perspectives from related healing sciences including ayurveda and astrology. Firmly guided and working closely with the five elements (earth, water, fire, air and space), you will find balance in a supportive atmosphere using postures and breath.
Hot Yoga is a challenging and flowing form of yoga that heals, detoxifies and electrifies body and mind at their deepest levels, in the style of Baron Baptiste. We practice in a 90 degree room; dress as if you were going for a run on a hot summer day. Please bring water and a towel, or, towel rental and water available for $3 together. This class is suitable for students of all levels.
